The 9th annual Shamrock Shuffle is returning to St. Thomas on Saturday, March 14th. The fun, walking and running event is in support of Inn Out of the Cold.
Event organizer Wade Coombs says with Inn Out of the Cold shifting to a year round shelter, they want to help make sure that status is here to stay.
The event is for runners, walkers and families of all ages and abilities. There will be a 2 and 5 km walk option as well as a 5 km run that begins at Central United Church. The event will also feature draw prizes, a raffle table, and a 50/50 draw to help raise additional funds.
To date the event has raised more than $90,000 for Inn Out of the Cold. Registration is $25 for everyone over 10 years old and $5 for those under 10. Registration begins at 8 a.m. with the race beginning at 9 a.m. A link to the race registration page can be found here.
