A 26 year old St. Thomas man is wanted by police after shoplifting from Walmart on Sunday around 7:30 p.m. The suspect was observed by Loss Prevention Officers, loading a shopping cart with over $1000 worth of electronics and leaving through an emergency exit at the back of the store.
Police report that the man pushed the cart over to a dumpster and then left it there as he fled on foot. Police attended the scene and through store security video, officers were able to identify the suspect.
He is now wanted for one count of Theft Under $5000, three counts Breach of Probation and one count of Trespassing after he had been banned from the store due to a previous shoplifting incident.
