Following a four-month investigation, the Elgin County OPP have charged a 61-year-old Central Elgin man with several sexual assault related charges. Police began their investigation last November following a reported sexual assault and he was charged in January. Jim Ford has been charged with sexual assault, sexual assault on a person under 16 with threats to a third person and sexual interference.
He is due to appear in court again next Tuesday. The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to call Elgin OPP Crime Unit at 1-888-310-1122.
