With kids stuck at home due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Pearce Williams is looking to bring a little fun to their day by running camp activities live each day via Facebook and Instagram. Camp Director at Pearce Williams Lindsey Feltis along with other staff members have been leading kids in fun activities including virtual camp song sing-a-longs, a pajama party, fitness fun, camp program Q&A, and glitter jars.
Feltis says that the programming began with daily challenges being posted to their social media but has since evolved to 3 live streams a day.
Feltis says that during the spring they don’t usual run any programming but with kids out of school they decided to jump at the chance.
Feltis adds this is the first time the camp has done something like this and they are seeing a great response with upwards of 83 people joining into the livestreams. Those looking to join in on the fun can tune into one of the streams at either 11 a.m., 2 p.m. or 4 p.m on their Facebook Page or Instagram accounts at @campisbetter and @campityourself.
