With the COVID-19 pandemic at the top of everyone’s newscasts, and social media feeds, myFM has compiled a few things to do to aid people who may be worried about their mental health during this time.
The tips are from the World Health Organization.
They say that it is normal to feel sad, stressed, confused, angry or scared during any crisis, so they recommend talking to people who you trust.
Don’t use alcohol, drugs or smoking to deal with emotions, rather if you are feeling overwhelmed talk to a health worker or counsellor.
The World Health Organization also recommends tips like maintaining a healthy lifestyle with proper diet, sleep, social contact, and exercise.
They say it is also important to get the facts from credible sources.
