A 67 year old woman has been charged after she allegedly assaulted a security guard at the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Sunday. Police report that the woman became frustrated over the pandemic rules in the emergency room triage area and refused to listen to staffs requests.
A security guard then stepped in and advised the woman that if she did not abide by the rules police would be called. The woman then proceeded to kick the security guard and left the hospital.
The 67 year was identified and arrested a short time later by police. She is now being charged with one count of assault and was released with a future court date.
