Environment Canada has issued a wind warning for St. Thomas and Elgin County.
They report that strong west to southwesterly winds are expected this afternoon and early evening. Wind gusts of 90 km/h will be possible with the strongest winds expected along the shorelines of Lake Ontario and Lake Erie. Environment Canada says the winds will ease tonight. They warn that there is the potential for scattered power outages due to the strong winds and damage to buildings, such as to roof shingles and windows, may also occur.
Stay tuned to myFM for any updates on outages that may occur as a result.
