A 47 year old male has been charged after he refused to give a breath sample to police. On Monday (April 13) around 6 p.m. Aylmer Police responded to the area of South St. east and Queen St. following a report of a male that was observed slumped over the wheel of a vehicle.
Police located the vehicle and a lone 47 year old male from Vienna was observed sleeping in the driver’s seat. The officer reports that the vehicle was running, the lights were on and the keys were observed in the ignition. A strong odour of alcohol on the driver’s breath was detected by the officer and a roadside demand was read.
The male then refused to provide a suitable roadside sample resulting in a charge of the refusal to comply with breath sample demand.
