A 41 year old Central Elgin resident is facing a slew of charges following an altercation with police. On April 9th around 6:30 p.m. the Elgin County OPP responded to a report of a disturbance between two people on George Street near Front Street in Port Stanley.
When officers arrived, the accused was arrested after a brief altercation with police. No officers sustained any injuries and no injuries were reported to police at the time of the investigation.
At this time 41 year old Nathaniel Pavia of Central Elgin has been charged with Assault X2, Assault a peace officer, Assault with a weapon, Uttering threats to cause death X2, Attempt to steal vehicle, Resist peace officer and Mischief X3.
The accused was held for a bail hearing.
