Elgin OPP are investigating a fatal, single-vehicle crash Friday night in Malahide Township.
Police responded to the scene on Imperial Road – between Calton and John Wise lines – just before midnight where they found the vehicle fully engulfed in flames. According to police, the driver and lone occupant of the vehicle was dead on their arrival.
The road was closed for several hours while the OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation team assisted at the scene.
OPP have not identified the individual pending notification of next of kin.
