Those looking to spend as little time as possible waiting in lines at stores due to COVID-19 related changes in operation can now plan ahead before leaving the house. A new website has been created that helps give people an idea of how long they will be waiting in line at specific stores in the area.
Similar to the app ‘GasBuddy’, where users update the current price of gas at specific gas stations when they visit, the wait times are updated by those who are actually in line waiting at the store or drive thru.
All users have to do to find the information is search their city and a map with coloured markers will appear, with each colour corresponding to a different wait time. People are also able to search specific stores in the area using the tool. Those that visit the stores can update the wait time to assist others by clicking on the marker and submitting a new time for the store, with wait times updating every 5 minutes.
