During this time of physical distancing and self-isolation, many individuals need help with their basic requirements and community organizations are seeking volunteers to help those in need.
That is the driving force behind Community Help Connect, a service operating in conjunction with the St. Thomas Public Library. Dana Vanzanten, manager of programming and community development at the library, says the service began operating at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Vanzanten says some of the services they are getting calls on include grocery pickup and lawn service.
