He’s an award-winning St. Thomas homebuilder who has given back to the community through his vision for a network of multi-use trails throughout the city and his support of the St. Thomas Elevated Park. For Doug Tarry, tangible contributions like the trails are what enhance the quality of life in a community.
His next undertaking is of a more pressing nature, stresses Tarry, and that is addressing the issue of low-income housing and the plight of the homeless. Although still in the infancy stage and facing a temporary setback due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the project Tiny Hope has to happen, asserts Tarry
Seeing residents take advantage of the trail system in the city is just “a wonderful feeling to see how much it means to people,” admits Tarry. He adds, “We’re blessed to have the opportunity to it.”
myFM and St. Thomas thank you Doug Tarry for making such a difference in St. Thomas and Elgin county by being a community builder.
