They’ve been piling up over the past two months and apart from being a reminder as to how much beer, wine and liquor you’ve consumed during the COVID-19 pandemic, there is probably a cool chunk of change coming your way. Well many Beer Store outlets, including St. Thomas, are now accepting returns with some restrictions.
Bottles and cans need to be rinsed, sorted and placed in a sanitized shopping cart when you arrive at The Beer Store. There is a limit of one cart per person each visit and social distancing must be maintained while you wait in the designated return line. Customers have the option of donating their deposit to support the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital or food banks in the community.
The St. Thomas outlet is now accepting empties and is open 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.
