A 36 year old Aylmer resident has been charged following a collision with a tractor in Malahide. The Elgin County OPP responded to the collision on Hacienda Road near Glencolin Line around 8 p.m. Tuesday. Police report that a northbound SUV struck the rear of a northbound tractor that was towing spray equipment.
St. Thomas Elgin Paramedics, along with Malahide Fire Services attended the scene, where paramedics transported the driver of the SUV to hospital with minor injuries.
The roadway was closed briefly for investigation and while crews removed the SUV. The farming tractor was still driveable and later left the scene.
As a result of the collision, the OPP have charged the 36 year old with Careless Driving.
