A 39 year old is facing multiple charges including arson after fires were set at 2 different banks on Talbot Street. The St. Thomas Police report that yesterday around 11 p.m. they received a 911 call about a fire in a bank vestibule on Talbot Street. Officers determined that there was a smoldering fire in the garbage near the ATM.
Within minutes, witnesses notified police of a second fire at a second bank vestibule on Talbot Street. Police arrived on scene and located a male exiting that vestibule and placed him under arrest.
Following the arrest, police located drugs on the male and determined he was in breach of his current probation order.
As a result, 39 year old Allen Slauenwhite has been charged with two counts of arson, one count of possession of a controlled substance and one count of fail to comply with a probation order. He was held for a court appearance.
