Ontario Premier Doug Ford says his government is launching the Ontario Tools Grant program for apprentices in the trades industry. Ford says this works out to be $500 to buy tools, equipment and manuals.
Premier Ford says it’s important to help local residents through the COVID-19 pandemic.
Ford says they will be forgiving over $10-million in outstanding loans for tool purchases. The motive power sector can get up to $1,000, construction trades can get $600 and $400 for those in the service sector.
