The Ontario Government has once again extended the emergency orders that have been put in place as a result of COVID-19. The province says that all current emergency orders including the closure of outdoor playgrounds, play structures and equipment, public swimming pools and outdoor water facilities, as well as bars and restaurants except for takeout and delivery will remain in effect until June 9th.
Additionally, there continues to be restrictions on social gatherings of more than five people, and staff redeployment rules remain in place for long-term care homes and congregate settings like retirement homes and women’s shelters.
Premier Doug Ford says “We are extending these emergency orders to protect the health and safety of all individuals and families as we begin to gradually and safely reopen our province.”
