Elgin County Warden Dave Mennill reminds area residents and visitors that all public beaches in the county remain closed due to COVID-19 restrictions. This includes beaches in Port Stanley, Port Bruce, Port Burwell and Port Glasgow.
Mennill adds the beaches will remain closed pending on-going advice from the province and Southwestern Public Health.
He says by remaining vigilant in the fight against the coronavirus, the restrictions could soon be lifted but that time is not now.
The beaches are being patrolled by the OPP and municipal bylaw enforcement officers and charges may be issued for any violations.
