Although they won’t be able to gather together, the staff at Parkside Collegiate Institute have come up with a way for the annual graduation banquet to go on. The banquet which is held every year for graduates and their families will now be taking place online this Wednesday.
In addition to the execution of the online banquet, graduates will also be given a special t-shirt in honour of all the hard work they have put in throughout their years at Parkside.
Principal Heather Jakobi says the staff really feel for the students who don’t get to have a normal graduation and prom experience and they wanted to do a little something for them.
Jakobi says they still plan on holding their traditional commencement ceremony in October if government restrictions should allow it.
