The Elgin County OPP are looking for the public’s assistance following an assault that took place in Port Burwell on Saturday.
Police report that 2 females in their 20’s were walking along the boardwalk in Port Burwell and made a comment to a group of 6-8 males and a female about picking up their garbage. The females continued their walk but were confronted by one of the males of the group.
An altercation ensued and the 2 females were allegedly attacked by the male as well as several other members of the group. The group then departed towards the parking area of the Port Burwell Provincial Park. Police says that the two females sustained minor injuries in the assault.
Anyone with information about this incident that took place between 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Saturday, is asked to contact the Elgin County OPP or Crime Stoppers.
