A Canadian company that got their start as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic has given back to our local community through the donation of face masks.
The St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital was the recipient of 100 organic masks courtesy of Canadian Face Masks, a face masks company that is run completely by students.
The company was started by Matt Danics and Josh Sofer in late April after noticing the lack of people that were wearing face masks while out in their community.
Josh Sofer says as university students they had no background in the apparel business when they first began, but quickly learned the ropes.
The duo who are supporting fellow students by providing summer employment are also using their company to give back, much like they did with STEGH, as 1 in every 10 of their organic face masks sold get donated to non-profit organizations.
