The London District Catholic School Board’s 22,500 students will have an opportunity to pick up their personal belongings and drop off school items from the over 50 schools in the board at the end of June.
Families will be contacted by their respective schools for detailed pickup arrangements. Staff will gather students belongings from desks, cubbies, lockers, etc. and place them into plastic bags labeled with each student’s name. The collection and retrieval process will occur through curbside pickup; outside tables; and/or tables in a centralized area (i.e. gym or lobby).
As a result, students and families will not need to access classrooms or lockers, ensuring school buildings remain as clean and safe as possible.
Project Collect and Retrieve will take place…
June 18, 19, 22-26: all secondary schools and large elementary schools
June 22-26: all other schools
Schools will send families a schedule for when they may retrieve personal belongings and return any textbooks, library books, sports and music equipment, as well as any laptops, Chromebooks or other devices loaned to students and families.
