For the 11th consecutive summer, a Blue Flag will flutter over Port Stanley’s Main Beach. During a brief flag-raising ceremony this morning, Central Elgin Mayor Sally Martyn explained the significance of the world-renowned eco-certification.

Not only was the blue flag unveiled, today marks the re-opening of beaches throughout Elgin county following a lengthy closure due to COVID-19 restrictions.
