The city’s three splash pads may have opened to provide welcome relief for youngsters, however it appears to be a wash-out for Jaycees Pool. At a special meeting of council last Thursday, city manager Wendell Graves advised council the emergency control group has recommended the pool remain closed for the summer.
The splash pad at Waterworks Park was temporarily closed to deal with a mechanical issue. It has since re-opened.
