As St. Thomas continues to see new murals pop up throughout the city, Railway City Tourism is putting the call out to local artists for 2 future projects.
As part of the “Track to the Future” mural project that will see 8 new contemporary murals brought to the downtown, Railway City Tourism is looking for expressions of interest for 2 murals that will go up at 633 Talbot Street, outside of Purely Wicked and one the wall of the St. Thomas Elgin Food Bank at 803 Talbot Street.
Tourism Manger Megan Pickersgill says that the 2 murals already have themes picked out based on their location.
Pickersgill adds that they aren’t necessarily looking for artists with backgrounds in creating murals, as theses projects will be completed on panels and will then be installed in their respective locations.
