The Elgin County OPP have arrested and charged 2 people following a R.I.D.E. check that took place on Dalewood Road.
The OPP report that around 1:47 a.m. this morning (July 17) officers were conducting a R.I.D.E. check in Central Elgin when they stopped a vehicle and became suspicious of some items observed in it.
As a result of a police investigation officers located what appeared to be a small quantity of methamphetamine and fentanyl, along with several knives and drug paraphernalia.
Police also located and seized a pistol grip pump action 12 gauge shotgun from under the front seat of the vehicle.
