With the move into Phase 3 of re-opening the province, young children will be able to transition again from screen time to play time. City manager Wendell Graves confirmed the city’s playgrounds have re-opened with the only restriction being maintain social distancing when possible and a reminder the equipment will not be cleaned by city crews.
Graves added no decision has been reached on a request by Coun. Lori Baldwin-Sands to open Jaycees Pool for the month of August. He feels it is technically possible to do that and the matter is likely to be addressed next week.
