The Strathroy Caradoc Police have arrested a 38 year old St. Thomas resident following the report of a possible fraud at a Strathroy Pharmacy.
Police say that upon investigation it was revealed that a male had attended the pharmacy on 3 separate occasions and obtained a large quantity of prescription medications.
Staff at the Pharmacy then became suspicious and called the police where investigation revealed that the male was using a forged prescription and fraudulent identification.
As a result, 38 year old Paul Gregory Devree of St. Thomas has been charged with…
• Three counts of Fraud Under $5000
• Three counts of Use, deals, acts on forged document
• Three counts of Failure to comply with release order – other than to attend court
• Two counts of Possession of a Schedule I Substance- Opioid (other than heroin)
• Two counts of Personation with intent to avoid arrest, prosecution or obstruct justice (Identity fraud)
• Three counts of Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 – in Canada
Devree is set to appear in London court in September to answer to the charges.
