The St. Thomas Fire Department responded to a call early Tuesday morning about a house fire at 84 Mandeville Drive.
The fire department reports that they received the call around 2:12 a.m. after the neighbours alerted the residents of the home, that a fire was fully involved on the back deck.
They say that it is suspected that the fire began on the back deck but quickly spread into the house as well as the roof.
At this time the fire department is estimating about $200-250 thousands dollar worth of damage was caused as a result of the early morning blaze.
No injuries were reported as the residents were able to escape and even the family cat was able to be rescued.
