Navigating a leadership race through the COVID-19 pandemic has presented challenges but that’s exactly what the Conservative Party of Canada has done.
According to a new poll by Maru/Blue, Peter MacKay holds 55 percent party support to replace Andrew Scheer.
MacKay says after stepping away from politics in 2015, he’s ready to come back and serve Canadians.
MacKay adds that he learned some lessons during his years as an MP that he feels will serve him well.
Rounding out the field of party competitors – Erin O’Toole at 23%, while Leslyn Lewis and Derek Sloan each have 11%.
