In partnership with the federal government, Premier Doug Ford this morning announced $234.6 million in funding to help with enhanced cleaning costs and health and safety requirements in support of the reopening of licensed child care and early years programs.
Ford noted the funding is part of the Safe Restart Agreement to reopen child care safely at full capacity next month.
Ford added the additional funding will help child care operators, EarlyON Child and Family Centres, and First Nations Child and Family Programs so that child care remains available to parents as they return to work.
