Southwestern Public Health is actively searching for a dog involved with a biting incident that took place in St. Thomas.
The incident occurred around midnight on Monday, August 10th in the area of Talbot Street and Manitoba Street.
The dog in question in described as a white bulldog/mastiff mix with brownish or orange patches. It is believed that the dog is named Winston and was out with a couple during the incident.
SWPH is seeking information about the dog and ask if you have any or are the owner of the dog, to please call the health unit to speak with a Public Health Inspector.
This information is necessary as they need to confirm if the dog is up to date on their rabies vaccines in order to make recommendations to the victim on their need for post-exposure rabies treatment.
