Southwestern Public Health is reporting 1 new case of COVID-19 today, along with 3 resolved cases.
The new case comes out of Oxford County in the municipality of East Zorra-Tavistock. All 3 resolved cases come out of our area with 2 resolved in Aylmer and 1 in St. Thomas.
There are now 25 active cases in the region with 11 in Aylmer, 6 in St. Thomas, 5 in Bayham, 1 in East Zorra-Tavistock and 2 in Woodstock.
The health unit reports that of the 25 active cases remaining, 5 people contacted the virus as a result of close contact, 3 via workplace contact, and 1 from travel.
