For Andrea Dohner, growing up on a dairy farm was enough to convince her that farming is in her future. So much so that she is now going into her 2nd year of the Agriculture Program at the University of Guelph- Ridgetown.
Although the fall semester has been moved online, Dohner looks forward the continuing her education while getting to spend some extra quality time with the cows.
Dohner says the driving force for continuing down the farming and agriculture road is her passion for the industry.
The farm that Dohner grew up on is located just outside of Port Burwell and not only has about 120 cows that get milked but also around 700 acres of crops that yield corn, soy beans, wheat and hay.
Dohner says as far as her future goes, she’s not sure what specific direction she will find herself in, but assures she will continue to be an advocate for the entire industry.
