While areas such as Toronto and Ottawa continue to see COVID-19 cases rise, Southwestern Public Health is reporting a decrease in numbers as another case gets marked as resolved.
The last remaining case in Bayham has resolved, leaving a lone Central Elgin case and 8 Woodstock cases still active.
Of the 9 cases that remain, 1 individual is currently in hospital as a result of the virus, but is not in the ICU.
The number of resolved cases is now at 249.
Ontario is reporting 478 cases of COID-19 today, with more than 34,200 tests completed the previous day.
The province reports that there are 153 new cases in Toronto with 95 in Peel and 90 in Ottawa. 68% of today’s cases are in people under the age of 40.
