Southwestern Public Health is reporting this morning (Sunday) the COVID-19 case in Central Elgin has been resolved. That leaves a single confirmed, ongoing case in St. Thomas and four in Woodstock.
The health unit confirmed the St. Thomas case is not associated with the St. Thomas Community Christian School probable case announced Friday.
Three of the five ongoing confirmed cases involve individuals aged 20 to 29.
There are no coronavirus hospitalizations in the health unit’s coverage area. As of today, 91.3 per cent of the area’s confirmed cases did not require hospitalizations.
The number of resolved cases now stands at 254.
Meantime, there are 491 new cases reported across the province today, the highest daily increase since early May.
