As of today, Shoppers Drug Mart at First Avenue and Edward Street is offering COVID-9 testing for high priority, asymptomatic individuals – with no reason to believe they may have COVID-19. MPP Jeff Yurek says it is another option for getting tested in timely fashion.
Yurek adds the testing is ever changing.
Asymptomatic testing will be offered by appointment only. Patients who fit the high priority, asymptomatic criteria, are asked to call the pharmacy directly to be pre-screened.
A Shoppers’ spokesperson adds there are a number of benefits to this service, including the convenient location, hours of operation and the separation of symptomatic and asymptomatic patients.
