Southwestern Public Health is reporting no new COVID-19 cases across its coverage area today. The St. Thomas total of confirmed ongoing cases remains at seven.
Six of those cases involve individuals under the age of 40, with two under the age of 9. Since the pandemic began, nine youngsters in the health unit’s coverage area under the age of nine have tested positive.
None of the current cases in the health unit’s coverage area have required hospitalization.
The number of resolved cases holds steady at 258.
The St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital assessment centre conducted 221 tests Wednesday.
