Southwestern Public Health is again reporting no new COVID-19 cases across its coverage area this morning (Saturday) and one resolved case. The number of confirmed ongoing cases in St. Thomas drops to six.
The resolved case in the city involves an individual aged 20 to 29.
Five of remaining ongoing cases involve individuals under the age of 40, with two under the age of 9. Since the pandemic began, nine youngsters in the health unit’s coverage area under the age of nine have tested positive.
None of the current cases in St. Thomas have required hospitalization.
The number of resolved cases is now 259.
The St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital assessment centre conducted 201 tests Thursday.
