For the fourth consecutive day, Southwestern Public Health is reporting no new confirmed COVID-19 cases in St. Thomas or Elgin county. Over the weekend, the health unit did confirm a case in Oxford county.
The number of ongoing cases in St. Thomas remains at six while Oxford has a single case in East Zorra-Tavistock.
All but one of the ongoing cases involve individuals under the age of 40, with no hospitalizations at this time. Since the pandemic began, 91 per cent of those infected did not require hospitalization.
The number of resolved cases holds at 260.
The St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital assessment centre undertook 174 tests on Saturday.
