$275,000 in grants are being issued to London/Middlesex and Elgin/St. Thomas charities, thanks to the Forever Legacy Foundation.
The Forever Legacy Foundation is a local charity that operates out of Port Stanley and was formed out of donor desire to leave their legacy with a charity of choice, without worrying the donation will be diluted by administrative costs and is entirely run by unpaid volunteers, ensuring a majority of donations go directly to charities of choice.
Locally, the London and St. Thomas Salvation Army is being awarded a $20,000 grant, the Port Stanley Public School Breakfast Program will be benefiting from a $2000 grant, Christmas Care, St. Thomas is receiving $1,000 and the St. Thomas Elgin Food Bank will be getting $16,000.
