The province is reporting 712 new COVID-19 cases this morning with two new cases in the Southwestern Public Health coverage area and one resolved in St. Thomas. The new confirmed cases are in West Elgin and Woodstock.
There are now 13 ongoing cases with four in Tillsonburg, two each in Woodstock and Ingersoll and single cases in Aylmer, St. Thomas, West Elgin, East Zorra-Tavistock and Norwich. This is the highest daily total since the end of August.
Seven of the cases are individuals under the age of 40, with no hospitalizations at this time.
The staff case at Caressant Care on Mary Bucke remains active.
The number of resolved cases rises to 269.
The assessment centre at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital undertook 208 tests Wednesday.
