3 local businesses have teamed up with the family of a local boy who recently lost his life in a tragic skateboarding accident, to hold the upcoming “Halloween Helmet Hike for Branden”.
F45 Training St. Thomas, YMCA of St. Thomas Elgin and Bulk Barn St. Thomas are working closely with the family of Branden Pettit to hold the hike to celebrate his life, as well as collect new and gently used helmets and raise awareness about helmet safety & education through the #lidup4branden foundation.
The “Halloween Helmet Hike for Branden” will be taking place at Pinafore Park at 10 a.m. on October 31st, where participants can hike, bike, blade, board or scooter around the park as well as take part in a helmet safety demonstration.
Those wishing to make a donation, but are not able to attend the event on Halloween, can do so by reaching out through text at 519-968-3683 for a drop off time leading up to event.
