Ontario reported 821 new confirmed COVID-19 cases this morning (Tuesday) while Southwestern Public Health is advising of five new cases along with five resolved.
One of the new cases involves a staff member at Chartwell Long-Term Care Residence in Aylmer and the staff case at Caressant Care on Mary Bucke remains active.
Of the 18 ongoing cases, there are three each in Aylmer, St. Thomas, Ingersoll and Woodstock. There are two each in Norwich and Tillsonburg with single cases in West Elgin and Southwest Oxford.
Ten of the cases involve individuals under the age of 50.
The number of resolved cases climbs to 275.
The assessment centre at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital undertook 91 tests Saturday.
