A 38 year old St. Thomas woman found herself between a rock and a hard place, after officers located her standing beside a vehicle that had crashed into large rocks placed around a dealership at the corner of First Avenue and Edward Street.
Police report that around 1 a.m. Wednesday, officers located the woman and detected a strong odour of alcohol on her breath and proceeded to take the woman into custody without incident
Breath samples collected at the police station indicated the woman had almost 3 times the legal limit of alcohol in her system.
As a result, the 38 year old has been charged with Impaired Operation of a Vehicle and Operation of a Vehicle with Blood Alcohol Concentration 80 plus and her vehicle was towed from the scene and impounded for seven days.
She was released on an Appearance Notice for court.
