This year’s poppy campaign, hosted by Royal Canadian Legion Lord Elgin Branch 41 launches Friday in restricted fashion due to the coronavirus.
The Legion’s Shelly Haycock says the poppy boxes will go into St. Thomas businesses that day but there will be no Legion members or volunteers out in public with boxes.
Haycock says money raised in the campaign does not go toward the St. Thomas branch’s operating expenses.
