While some of the community may choose to stay in and skip Halloween this year, the St. Thomas Police Service will be out to make sure everyone stays safe.
Corporate Communications Coordinator Tanya Calvert gives these reminders to trick-or-treaters.
Calverts says that you should also use sidewalks and avoid zigzagging across the street and when you come to a corner, to make a complete stop and look both ways before crossing.
She also gives some tips for those staying home and handing out candy.
Calvert says that they expect a quieter than normal Halloween, despite it falling on a Saturday.
She adds that everyone that does dress up this year is reminded to wear bright clothes if possible and make sure that Halloween masks are still safe with the addition of a face mask or covering.
