Ontario is reporting 1,003 new cases of COVID-19 this morning (Friday) while Southwestern Public Health is advising of three new cases, all of them in Woodstock.
There are now 49 confirmed ongoing cases in the health unit’s coverage area, with 35 in Bayham, seven in Woodstock, two in Tillsonburg and Norwich and single cases in Aylmer, St. Thomas, and SW Oxford.
One individual is hospitalized in the ICU.
There is an ongoing case involving a staff member at Secord Trails in Ingersoll.
Thirty-five of the cases are individuals under the age of 50, with two of those under 20 years of age.
The number of resolved cases remains at 313.
The assessment centre at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital conducted 161 tests Wednesday.
