Ontario is reporting 1,249 new cases of COVID-19 this morning (Tuesday) while Southwestern Public Health is advising of seven new cases, including three in Aylmer, two in St. Thomas and eight resolved.
There are 63 confirmed ongoing cases in the health unit’s coverage area, with 21 in Woodstock, 15 in Norwich, 11 in Aylmer, four in St. Thomas, three each in SW Oxford and Tillsonburg, two in Ingersoll with single cases in Bayham, Blandford-Blenheim, Zorra and East Zorra-Tavistock.
Bethany Care Home in Norwich has an outbreak with 3 residents testing positive.
There are no hospitalizations at this time.
Forty-one of the cases are individuals under the age of 50, of those 12 are under the age of 20.
The number of resolved cases is 387.
The assessment centre at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital undertook 91 tests on Sunday.
